Dr. Dave Burrows grew up as a troubled teenager on the streets of Nassau, Bahamas. His days were spent in drugs, violence, sexual promiscuity and crime. After several close encounters with the law, Dave, through the influence of his brother-in-law Pastor Robyn Gool, accepted Christ and went on to graduate from Oral Roberts University.
He later worked for the Bahamas Government in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, where he orchestrated many highly successful programs for young people. Programs for male mentorship such as “Young Champions”, Christian School clubs such as “Christ 4 Life,” and a young ladies mentorship program titled “P31” were spearheaded by Dave and his wife Angela. Through these unconventional programs and more, he is credited with revolutionizing youth ministry in the Bahamas and many areas of the world, impacting gangs, drug users and troubled teens, as well as everyday young people.
Pastor Dave has appeared on many television and radio programs worldwide including those hosted by TBN, Richard Roberts (Hour of Healing) and TD Jakes (Potters Touch). He has served as a contributing writer for many Christian Publications and has authored nine books including Sex & Dating, Making the Most of Your Teenage Years, Strategies for Saving the Next Generation, Kingdom Parenting, Talk to Me, College Career and Money, and the Power of Positive Choices.
In addition to his ministry work, Pastor Dave is also an avid businessman and owner of computer and publishing companies. He conducts many motivational and business/technology seminars for corporations and organizations, and has released a series titled “Starting a Business and Maximizing Technology.” He is also President and CEO of the business and motivational organization “The Winners Touch.”
