OUR FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Eric Smith has devoted more than 31 years to full-time ministry, carrying the Gospel to churches and nations around the world. Throughout his ministry, he has traveled to more than 1,500 churches across the United States and ministered in 67 nations. He has also helped organize large-scale evangelistic crusades, including gatherings that have drawn more than one million people in a single service.
More than 23 years ago, Eric founded Smith Media Group (SMG) with just two ministry services. Today, SMG provides 25 distinct services designed to help churches, ministries, and Christian leaders expand their reach, strengthen their influence, and fulfill their God-given assignments. His vision combines ministry, media, and strategic partnerships to help take the Gospel further than ever before.
Eric is also the founder of LEAD Magazine, a digital Christian leadership publication dedicated to equipping and encouraging pastors and ministry leaders. Since its launch, LEAD has grown to reach nearly 100,000 pastors and an estimated 1.2 million people. Through his extensive media network, Eric has also organized live television events for more than 110 ministries in recent years, helping deliver their messages to an estimated audience of more than 500 million viewers.
Above every accomplishment, Eric’s greatest passion is winning souls for Jesus Christ. To date, Eric and his team have seen more than 54 million decisions for Christ through the evangelistic events and ministry initiatives they have facilitated. Yet he believes the greatest harvest is still ahead. His personal vision is to see 100 million people come to Christ, continuing his lifelong commitment to reaching the lost and advancing the Gospel around the world.
Beyond ministry, Eric considers his family one of God’s greatest blessings. He and his wife have been happily married for 37 years and are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters. The Smith family resides in Lima, Ohio.
