In the world – and even in the church – pornography plagues many men and women. This “secret” stronghold of the enemy is just one of many tactics that destroy both families and the individual. Evangelist Lloyd Vandenberg discretely, but truthfully, shares his testimony and helps those who struggle with addictions and bondages to become absolutely convinced of God’s desire to give freedom to every believer. His wife Cathy also stands willing to share her journey and the part she played in seeing Lloyd begin his path to freedom.
Lloyd and Cathy have been married for 28 years and have traveled as full-time evangelists to Canada and the US their entire married life. In July of 2005, they transitioned from assisting Cathy’s parents (Norm and Joy Phillips of “The Phillips Family”) to their own full time ministry, named New Generation Ministry.
New Generation Ministry’s goal is to be a voice to the church, proclaiming freedom to the captives and calling every generation to worship with one heart. Through music ministry and preaching/teaching, they bring comfort and challenge to believers, convicting those who are comfortable in their sin and inspiring pre-Christians to follow Christ. God has placed on their hearts a burden for the church generally and the family unit specifically. The Vandenbergs travel together with their children, encouraging their participation in ministry alongside them. They do this as a living example that families can still serve God together, setting themselves apart from the world and living free from the bondage of sin.
Lloyd is ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada as an evangelist. Along with sharing his testimony, teaching and preaching, he also plays the bass guitar and sings.
Cathy plays the acoustic and electric guitars and sings lead, She often encourages others how to have better marriages.
Their daughter, Kirsten (14), sets up the product table, plays piano/keyboard and sings with us on a few songs. She also helps with the children’s service while Lloyd preaches.
Their son, Evan (12), helps set up the equipment, plays the drums, sings on a few songs and does illusions, puppets and ministry to children during the preaching /teaching time.
Their youngest daughter, Elise (6), sings on one song and is such a hit with the audience that they sometimes feel they could leave and just have her sing and people would enjoy it more!
The Vandenbergs purpose in coming to your church is to show and tell people “There’s a better way to live!” They live to see people set free from the bondage of sin and enjoying the freedom found in knowing the person of Jesus Christ. To bring the Vandenbergs to your church, contact us today!
“Lloyd’s testimony and music ministry was very well received. Following the service, our altars were filled with people seeking freedom from addictions. It was quite powerful! I would highly recommend this ministry for any church. ”

“Lloyd and his family are not only great musicians; they are wonderful people – very sincere and devoted to the Lord Jesus – praying people. Lloyd’s testimony of deliverance from addiction to porn is life-transforming. But he delivers this illustrated sermon with such tact and taste and applies it in such a way that anyone with any kind of bondage in their life can identify. Our altars were full Sunday morning in response to this message, and we heard testimonies from some who felt their lives were changed. I told Lloyd afterwards that God may be keeping him on the road for this very purpose – that He wants this message disseminated throughout the church. Given the addictive nature of today’s culture this truly is a needed word. ”

“As Pastors, we all struggle with the many phone calls that come of Ministries that are looking for a place to do what they are called to do. I took a recommendation from a Pastor friend of mine concerning “New Generation Ministry” and was very glad I did. Lloyd has a very powerful testimony of God’s delivering power. Our men needed to hear this message of deliverance and prevention. This ministry was a rare find in the long list of calls we get. ”

“We at Central recently had the privilege of hosting Lloyd and Cathy as he shared his story of being set free from the lies and lures of pornography. Their transparency and sensitivity regarding the subject was appreciated by all who attended. People were set free. It is without hesitation that I recommend them to you. Invite them to come and share their story. Your congregation will thank you. ”
